Steps for Outlook Express 5/6

1. Open Outlook Express on your computer. Choose the Tools menu and select Accounts.

2. Click Properties

3. Click on the Servers tab. Place a check in My server requires authentication. Next, click the Settings button.

4. Make sure that "Use same settings as my incoming mail server." is selected. Hit OK. Next, click the Advanced tab.

5. Set the Outgoing mail (SMTP): port number to 587. Click the OK button.

5. Click Close.

You have now made the required changes.
